Steamcmd to download mods

This guide is intended to help you get a mod on your server. Now steamcmd will download the mod, however, it will be placed in the wrong directory, so we'll

I'm playing around with SotF and a helpful player commented in another thread that in order to update SotF you have to manually copy over files from a client machine to update the mod on the server. I've been running a regular Ark server and updating it with SteamCMD since the game came out. I'm wondering if there is a way to use SteamCMD and kick off a script to update the mod as well? place the bat in your steamcmd folder, set what mods you want to download, any in the list you do not want to use, then place a :: in front of the line. if using my version, you just set the false to true and it will enable, or my alternative version, you can manually enter the steam workshop ID, and just download 1 mod at a time. @joebywan the command you are using is the correct command.. cd /home/steam/steamcmd ./steamcmd.sh +login anonymous +workshop_download_item 346110 504122600 +quit Note however that with large mods it takes a few attempts to fully download the mod, as steamcmd will timeout after a couple of minutes. The AppID which is 435150 and the workshop mod id which is 1140405351. Hop back over to SteamCMD and type the following. workshop_download_item 435150 1140405351. The first part of the above tells steam we want to download a workshop mod. The second part is the game we want the mod for. The last part is the Id of the mod so it knows which one Hi! I made one BAT script to download/update steam workshop mods by steamcmd. I've SteamCMD installed on my dedicated server and this batch uses only it to install or update any mod that you want.

This is a brief tutorial on the basics of installation and usage of SteamCMD. Windows. Create a folder for SteamCMD. C:/steamcmd. Download the SteamCMD (Windows) Update Tool.
